Day 1: Baltra
Arrival Baltra Airport and transfer to your cruise.
Afternoon excursion: We will head to the small Island of Mosquera which is located between Isla Baltra and Isla Seymour. The Island is not easily accessible because of the lack of tracks and that is why many tourists decide to get comfortable on the stunning white beach, filled with sea-lion colonies.
Day 2: Isabela Island
Morning excursion: Vicente Roca Point offers a great place to dive and snorkel due to its impressive sealife. Seaturtles, seahorses, sea stars and many other species live in this cove, which had splitted in two.
Afternoon excursion: Continuing our cruise, we sail to Fernandina Island where we will visit Espinosa Point. After a short walk we will reach a spot where many comorants have settled to incubate.
Day 3: Isabela Island
Morning excursion: The latest elevation took place in 1954 at Urbina Bay on Isabela Island, thereby the coast-line had moved upwards. Here you will get the chance to walk around and admire the environment.
Afternoon excursion: We sail towards Tagus Cove. Here the water temperature is lower, but that does not take away that it is a wonderful place to snorkel while you will be surrounded by penguins. In this area, dolphins and whales are likely to be seen.
Day 4: Santiago
Morning excursion: After breakfast we arrive at Egas Port, also known for Jamer Bay. This area is mostly known for its curious hawks. Here you will get free time to discover the beautiful surroundings with deep caves and small bays.
Afternoon excursion: The shape of the Sombrero Chino Island reminds us of a Chinese head. This Island with its beautiful white sand beaches is home to many sea-lions. It is a marvelous place to snorkel.
Day 5: Santa Cruz Island
Disembarking in the morning, we visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and the ‘rearing in captivity’ program for the giant tortoises. Here we witness the efforts and results of all the field work done in the name of science. We transfer by bus across Santa Cruz Island and a short ferry ride to Baltra. Transfer to the airport to take the flight back to the mainland.
